Led by Body Harmonics founder and director of education, Margot McKinnon, M. Ed., our curriculum is learner-centered and outcome-based. This means our systematic Teacher Training programs and Continuing Education workshops respect your personal learning style, reinforce your confidence and provide you with the skills you need to teach a range of clients—both in a group class setting and one-on-one. Our curriculum also evolves to keep pace with science, technology and student feedback.
At Body Harmonics our sole focus is on movement and health. Our Teacher Training is grounded in the original Pilates method principles as well as modern exercise science, biomechanics and education. Not only do we teach you to become a knowledgeable, skillful and creative instructor who can address specific health and movement challenges, but we also support you when you graduate—so you can create the career and lifestyle you want while having a meaningful impact on the lives of those you teach.
Because we also run two successful Pilates & Movement Studios in Toronto, you have access to best-in-class teachers, mentors and faculty as well as a broad variety of classes and student/teacher discounts. Plus, we provide you with real-world career advice, tools and tips. Similar supports are also available at affiliated Body Harmonics Teacher Training Centres across Canada and internationally.
When you successfully complete each of our Teacher Training programs, you receive a diploma (Pilates Track) or certificate (Specialist programs and Continuing Education workshops). You also get to use our trademarked Body Harmonics® designation(s) and logo on your business cards and marketing materials. Plus you can have a business listing on our online Teacher Finder and take advantage of other Teacher Benefits.
Body Harmonics Teacher Training programs and workshops are offered several times throughout the year at a growing number of Body Harmonics Teacher Training Centres, including our Toronto locations and affiliated Centres worldwide. Find the dates and locations that are right for you.

Check our job board for some great opportunities. And, remember, there are many benefits to being a Body Harmonics teacher in good standing, including being listed on our Teacher Finder.
As with all job searches, personal networking is often most effective. Attend classes at your favourite studio or gym and make yourself known to the director or manager in charge. Let everyone know you’re looking to teach and are willing to do some introductory classes or privates to get your foot in the door. In addition to looking on popular career websites, you can get a FREE listing on our Teacher Finder and look for great jobs listed on private Pilates and fitness websites, including our Body Harmonics Job Board . You can also submit a job posting if you’re looking to hire an instructor.
If you prefer personalized training, you can cover the curriculum from most of our workshops or programs by signing up for private or semi-private Teacher Training Tutorials. Depending on the topic and how many questions you have, you can usually cover the material in two-thirds of the regular class time.
Accredited Pilates teachers can attend classes at our Toronto Pilates & Movement Studios at our preferred teacher rate. Please inquire with a member of our Teacher Training team via email or telephone: 416.537.0714 or 1.877.537.0714. We also offer a 15% discount on all Body Harmonics merchandise on the day(s) you attend Teacher Training at our Toronto locations.
