Understanding anatomy is the first step to understanding functional movement. Understanding how and why muscles work together in normal patterns allows us to recognize dysfunctional movement patterns. The key to helping people prevent or manage injury is to recognize dysfunction and make educated choices about how to restore more optimal patterns.
In this workshop we will look at the major muscle groups of the pelvis, spine, hips, lower extremity and shoulder girdle. Focus will be on how they interact with other muscle groups in order to create movement and contribute to joint stability.
