Joan’s passion for teaching Pilates started in 1996. Her philosophy of Pilates is to stay tuned in one's own body, to look, listen, keep moving and learn to feel taller, stronger, and amazingly flexible. Encouraging the nervous system to continue changing and recharging is the education needed to move more efficiently in a stress reduced, free flowing body.
Joan’s area of expertise is Rehabilitative Pilates, and she loves seeing the changes that happen with clients during their one-on-one sessions. Clients have reported on how they feel so much more grounded, more focused, and even more powerful in terms of the post session results. Joan teaches a wide variety of clientele, and specializes in Essential Restorative Pilates. Joan also assists her colleagues when called to cover off many challenging classes.
Joan brings a light-hearted sense of humour and a comfortable non-judgmental environment during her sessions, which will resonate confidence in your mind and body to take with you when you leave!
